Description:

  • SGS is the world’s leading Testing, Inspection and Certification company, operating over 2,500 laboratories and business facilities across 115 countries with a team of 99,500 professionals.
  • The company is seeking a highly skilled Application Solution Engineer (ASE) to support the global rollout of Oracle Fusion ERP across multiple regions.
  • The ASE will design, configure, and implement scalable ERP solutions that align with global business processes while meeting local compliance requirements.
  • This role is cross-functional within the Corporate Information Technology team, responsible for aligning end-to-end process design across SGS’s corporate IT applications.
  • The ASE will act as a senior techno-functional expert, supporting business stakeholders in defining high-level specifications and advising on requirement definition and solution delivery.
  • Responsibilities include ensuring solutions are standardized, fit-for-purpose, and aligned with SGS guidelines and industry best practices, overseeing software development activities, and validating effort estimates.
  • The ASE will work closely with the Enterprise Architecture team to ensure all technical designs meet SGS standards.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
  • Proven experience in Oracle Fusion ERP implementation, specifically in Financials, Procurement, and Projects, is necessary.
  • A strong understanding of global business processes, compliance requirements, and software lifecycle management is essential.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP integrations, APIs, and middleware, such as Oracle Integration Cloud, is required.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are necessary for this role.
  • The ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional team environment is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality are required.
  • Proactive decision-making skills and the ability to work independently are necessary.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and process improvement is expected.
  • Knowledge of risk, quality, security, privacy, and safety standards is required.
