Description:

Own the infrastructure for APAS's AI products for water utilities and engineering firms.
Build cloud environment, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring from scratch using infrastructure as code.
Collaborate closely with data and engineering teams to ensure performance and security of the infrastructure.
Report directly to the CEO with autonomy in infrastructure decisions.
Engage in transparent communication across the team.

Requirements:

5+ years of hands-on DevOps/infrastructure experience, preferably in an early-stage startup.
Real production experience with AWS and/or Azure; ability to help decide between them.
Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or equivalent).
Experience in CI/CD pipeline design and ownership (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
Required experience with Docker; Kubernetes or equivalent preferred.
Solid Linux administration and networking fundamentals.
Knowledge of cloud security basics (IAM, secrets management, encryption).
Experience with production database operations.
Ability to set up monitoring/observability from scratch.
Self-directed and capable of operating as a near-solo DevOps function.
Strong communication skills for direct interaction with founders and engineers.
