Remote Experienced Full-Stack Software Engineer

Description:

• As an experienced software engineer, you will drive the innovation of TOPdesk's leading service management software.
• You will work to deliver a scalable and future-proof product to 10 million users across 5000 customers worldwide.
• Your main responsibilities include building and maintaining the Knowledge Base, expanding current components, building new features, and improving underlying technologies.
• You will engage in programming tasks, working on accessible user interfaces and ensuring the backend is fast and reliable.
• Your role will involve switching between tasks such as fixing bugs, refactoring code, and enhancing user experience.
• Teamwork is essential; you will collaborate with fellow engineers, the UX designer, and the Product Manager to incrementally deliver a lovable product.
• You will also work with other customer-facing development teams and platform teams to support specific components and get code to production.
• The technology stack includes jOOQ, JUnit, Service-Oriented Architecture, Message Queues, SQL Server, Vue, Vite, Vitest, TanStack/Query, Semantic HTML, A11Y, micro-frontends, and SCSS.
• You will be part of team Phoenix at the TOPdesk headquarters in Delft, which consists of 7 team members with diverse expertise.

Requirements:

• You must have at least 5 years of experience as a full-stack software engineer.
• Proficiency in Java and Typescript is required, along with fluency in English.
• You should understand that coding is part of the greater context of the product, not just writing code.
• A willingness to help others with their code through sparring, mentoring, or reviewing is essential.
• You must believe in teamwork and clear communication.
• Curiosity and a positive attitude towards failure as a learning opportunity are important traits.
• Comfort in a service architecture is necessary for this role.
• Experience with legacy frameworks and familiarity with Domain-Driven Design is a plus.
