Our Client is one of the United States’ largest insurers, providing a wide range of insurance and financial services products with gross written premiums well over US$25 Billion (P&C).
They serve more than 10 million U.S. households with over 19 million individual policies across all 50 states through the efforts of over 48,000 exclusive and independent agents and nearly 18,500 employees.
This position directly supports the Business Unit and primarily works on the online quote and bind platform.
The role involves collective responsibility for the design, development, testing, and/or deployment of system functionality.
Key responsibilities include providing technical feasibility using various coding methods, ensuring high code and component quality, performing impact assessments, and estimating user stories.
The developer will identify and raise issues with functional design, partner with the Product Owner, and execute Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
Participation in key ceremonies to drive execution, improve flow, and ensure transparency is expected, along with limited guidance to junior team members when needed.
The role requires planning work through Program Increment (PI) Planning and Sprint Planning, demonstrating working code to Product and Business Owners, and participating in Sprint Retrospectives.
Continuous exploration, integration, and deployment are necessary for building the Continuous Delivery Pipeline and implementing DevOps.
Requirements:
At least 3 years of experience in a similar role is required.
A BS in Computer Science or a similar field is necessary.
Full English fluency is mandatory.
Experience in full stack development including Java/J2EE and front-end technologies like Angular, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML is a must.
Experience working with Java frameworks like Spring, SpringBoot, and Hibernate is desirable at an intermediate level.
Proficiency in Angular concepts and libraries such as State Management, Redux framework, RxJS, NgRx, and Angular Material is preferred at an intermediate plus level.
SQL experience at an intermediate level (2-3 years) is required.
