FBS – Farmer Business Services is part of Farmers operations, focusing on building a global approach to talent management.
The position is for a Senior Data Engineer specializing in Airflow, within a centralized shared services team supporting data platforms like Snowflake and Astronomer.
The role involves building and maintaining automated data workflows using Apache Airflow and implementing major end-to-end data pipeline projects.
Responsibilities include designing and optimizing complex DAGs, creating reusable Airflow components, ensuring effective monitoring and logging, and documenting workflows for team knowledge sharing.
The engineer will mentor team members in Airflow usage and communicate technical decisions effectively.
The position requires developing reusable frameworks for data governance and CI/CD pipeline development.

Requirements:

Candidates must have between 4-6 years of experience in a similar role.
A Bachelor's degree in IT, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
Fluency in English is mandatory.
Advanced knowledge of Airflow (5 years) and Python (4-6 years) is essential.
Intermediate experience with Snowflake, DynamoDB, Amazon RDS, and Jenkins is required.
Entry-level knowledge of DBT and AWS Glue is a plus.
Insurance experience is desirable.
Candidates should possess skills in strategic thinking, documentation, and the ability to guide others.
