Remote Forward Deployed Engineer (Data)

Description:

• Clarium is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer (Data) to manage customer data integrations for hospital systems and their suppliers.
• The role requires a hands-on engineer who enjoys direct customer interaction and navigating ambiguous systems.
• Responsibilities include understanding customer systems, bringing integrations into production, and designing reliable ingestion and transformation workflows.
• The engineer will collaborate with data engineers and product managers to iterate on customer data feeds, ensure integrations are correct and production-ready, and build reusable connectors and internal tools.
• This position demands comfort with ambiguity, unfamiliar systems, and full ownership of production systems.
• The ideal candidate will enjoy building robust systems while staying close to the customer problems they solve.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 4+ years of professional experience in an engineering role.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL is required.
• Experience in building and operating data pipelines is necessary.
• Candidates should have experience with strong engineering practices, including building production-grade systems, robust ETL pipelines, CI/CD, and monitoring.
• Familiarity with AWS or similar cloud platforms is essential.
• The ability to work directly with clients to gather requirements, troubleshoot, and deliver integrations is required.
