Description:
The position is for a Founding Full-Stack Engineer, which is a direct hire role.
The job is remote, with a preference for candidates based in the East Coast or Central/Mountain Time zones in the USA.
The compensation is approximately $200,000 base salary plus a performance bonus.
Visa sponsorship is available if needed.
The client is a well-established provider of insurance and insurance operations solutions, offering tailored services and cloud-based platforms.
The role involves driving the development of new internal and external technology solutions, modernizing core workflows, and building integrations with key partners and carriers.
The engineer will report directly to the hiring manager and collaborate closely with business, product, and operations leaders.
Responsibilities include leading the design and implementation of full-stack applications, maintaining integrations, architecting backend services, building frontend features, translating business needs into technical solutions, participating in technical planning, and defining tech roadmap priorities.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in full-stack engineering with production applications.
Strong experience in TypeScript with Node.js on the backend and React/Next.js on the frontend is required.
A proven track record of building integrations with third-party systems and APIs is necessary.
Candidates should be comfortable leading zero-to-one development, from prototyping to production launch.
Experience with AWS-first infrastructure, including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and RDS, is essential.
An understanding of modern development workflows such as CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and feature flagging is required.
