Description:
- Build intuitive and elegant user experiences for geologists, geophysicists, geochemists, and data scientists.
- Own and improve existing web apps for data management, discovery, search, and visualization.
- Collaborate with scientists to create tools for complex 2D/3D geospatial visualizations.
- Champion frontend best practices and mentor junior developers.
- Automate testing systems for UIs.
Requirements:
- Experience in architecting and maintaining frontend applications with rich user experiences.
- Proficient in writing production-quality, performant, and scalable code.
- Skilled with data visualization libraries (D3, Leaflet, etc.).
- Familiar with modern JavaScript tools (node.js, TypeScript, React, Angular), cloud technologies, and Python web frameworks (Django, Flask).
Benefits:
- Competitive salary range of $160,000 - $240,000.
- Remote work opportunity for candidates in the US or Canada, with travel to project sites required.
