Description:

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong back-end expertise in Kotlin/Java and Micronaut to join our engineering team.
You will design and build scalable microservices, integrate with third-party endpoints, and contribute to a high-performing DevOps culture.
This role is ideal for engineers passionate about clean code, cloud-native architectures, and owning services end-to-end.
Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining scalable microservices using Kotlin/Java and Micronaut, building and integrating RESTful and GraphQL APIs with internal and third-party systems, implementing event-driven architectures using Kafka, ensuring high-quality code using TDD/BDD and automated testing, collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, monitoring and optimizing system performance using observability tools, and following DevOps principles: you build it, you run it.

Requirements:

Strong experience with Kotlin and/or Java is required.
Hands-on experience with Micronaut is necessary.
A solid understanding of microservices architecture is essential.
An expert understanding of MVC, SOLID, DRY, and KISS principles is required.
Strong experience with Git and distributed version control is necessary.
Proficiency in Test Driven Development (TDD), Behaviour Driven Development (BDD), and non-functional testing (performance, security, resilience) is required.
Experience working in Azure Cloud environments is necessary.
CI/CD pipeline experience and a production support mindset are required.
Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
