Description:

Act as primary design contact for external partner studios, ensuring alignment of vision and execution.
Drive conceptualization, documentation, and vision of levels, spaces, missions, and gameplay experiences.
Develop and iterate pipelines, processes, and tools to enhance design team efficiency and quality.
Lead cross-functional teams to achieve end-user experience goals and resolve project-wide blockers.
Set standards in grey-boxing, pacing, layout, scripting, encounters, and gameplay implementation.
Spearhead testing, debugging, level performance, streaming, and optimization strategies.
Champion environmental storytelling, world building, tone, setting, and art propping.
Provide mentorship to Associate and Core designers to foster a culture of excellence.

Requirements:

8+ years of professional game development experience with a track record of driving results.
Experience on at least 3 shipped titles, guiding teams from concept to final release.
Ability to tackle complex, cross-discipline problems and turn ambiguity into actionable strategies.
Mastery of virtual spaces, pacing, flow, immersion, player motivation, and aesthetics.
Proven leadership in collaborating across internal and external teams.
Excellent communication skills for pitching and defending design decisions.
Expert understanding of technical concepts and systemic game design.
Mastery of Unreal Engine and its development environment.
