Description:

The role involves developing and implementing AI/ML models to solve specific business problems, such as forecasting equipment failures or creating document classifiers and chatbots.
You will deploy AI solutions on Azure cloud infrastructure, setting up resources like Azure ML workspaces and ensuring compliance with security guidelines.
The position requires collaboration with data engineers to prepare datasets for machine learning, including data preprocessing and quality assurance.
You will conduct experiments to improve model performance, utilizing Azure ML pipelines for automation and comparison of different algorithms.
The role includes integrating Azure’s AI services to enhance development efficiency and using pre-built capabilities when appropriate.
You will implement MLOps practices, including model registration, release pipelines, and monitoring for performance and accuracy drift.
Collaboration within a cross-functional team is essential, along with thorough documentation of your work for maintainability and knowledge transfer.

Requirements:

Approximately 3–6 years of experience in developing AI or machine learning solutions, with real-world project experience beyond internships.
Fluency in both German and English is required.
Proficiency in programming, particularly in Python, with familiarity in other languages like R or C# being a plus.
A solid understanding of machine learning algorithms and workflows, with experience in frameworks such as Scikit-learn and exposure to deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services relevant to data and AI, including Azure Machine Learning and Azure Databricks.
Comfortable working with databases and writing SQL, with experience in data pipelines or ETL processes being important.
Exposure to Azure AI Foundry is considered advantageous.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, particularly in debugging models and data issues.
Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to document and explain work clearly to colleagues and clients.
A mindset of continuous learning and a proactive approach to staying updated with AI innovations.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field is required, with relevant experience considered in lieu of a degree. Certifications like Azure AI Engineer Associate or Azure Data Engineer are a plus.
