Description:

  • The Platform Software Engineer will join the Engineering Productivity team within the Technical Platform group, focusing on internal development platforms and tools for developers.
  • Responsibilities include providing necessary tools for daily product development, integrating with cloud platforms, and managing build systems and CI/CD pipelines.
  • The role involves setting up and maintaining development tools like Jenkins, Artifactory, and GitHub, as well as developing internal self-service tools.
  • The engineer will engage with developers to identify areas for improvement, document solutions, and organize workshops and training.
  • The position requires diagnosing and fixing deployment incidents in both development and production environments.

Requirements:

  • A university degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience is required.
  • Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, or Site Reliability Engineer.
  • Experience in developing automated CI/CD pipelines and defining guidelines for CI/CD tools such as GitHub and Jenkins is necessary.
  • Candidates should have experience building self-service internal development platforms and developing platform-as-a-service solutions.
  • Proficiency in Kubernetes, operating services on Linux systems, and container technologies like Docker is required.
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform) is essential.
  • Familiarity with monitoring solutions (e.g., Datadog) and programming languages such as Go, Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, and/or Bash is expected.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, a can-do attitude, and an agile mindset are important.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English are required.
  • Self-motivation, organizational skills, and a curiosity to learn new technologies are essential traits.
