Description:

  • Nexthink is a leader in digital employee experience management software, providing IT leaders with insights to diagnose and fix issues impacting employees.

  • The Platform Software Engineer will join the Engineering Productivity team within the Technical Platform group.
  • This team provides an internal development platform with tools and services for developers to enhance productivity and experience.
  • The role involves full ownership of domains from requirements gathering to deployment.
  • Responsibilities include providing necessary tools for development, integrating with cloud platforms, and managing CI/CD pipelines.
  • The engineer will set up and maintain development tools like Jenkins, Artifactory, and GitHub.
  • The position requires developing internal self-service tools and platforms for Nexthink developers.
  • The engineer will engage with developers to identify areas for improvement and promote platform adoption.
  • Documentation of solutions and organization of workshops and training sessions are also part of the role.
  • The engineer will diagnose and fix deployment incidents in both development and production environments.

Requirements:

  • A university degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience is required.
  • Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, or Site Reliability Engineer.
  • Experience in developing automated CI/CD pipelines is necessary.
  • Candidates must have experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub and Jenkins.
  • Experience in building self-service internal development platforms is required.
  • Knowledge of platform-as-a-service solutions is essential.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and operating services on Linux systems and container technologies like Docker is needed.
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms such as AWS and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform is required.
  • Candidates should have experience with monitoring solutions like Datadog.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, and/or Bash is necessary.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude are essential.
  • Candidates must be self-motivated, organized, and possess excellent communication skills in English.
  • A curiosity to learn new technologies and an agile mindset are important.
