Asteri is an AI-native Work Intelligence and Orchestration Platform designed for large enterprises to enhance work performance and identify opportunities for AI augmentation.
The Principal Engineer will serve as a technical leader and architect, responsible for the design, development, and scaling of core product capabilities within the orchestration platform.
This role involves providing technical vision and leadership, ensuring systems meet high standards of reliability, scalability, and usability.
Responsibilities include leading architectural design, defining backend and frontend services, driving technical direction for frontend experiences, and overseeing integration of enterprise-scale systems.
The Principal Engineer will set standards for production excellence, partner with product and design leaders, and mentor senior engineers to elevate engineering culture and system maintainability.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 10+ years of experience as a software engineer, with a proven track record in architecting and operating large-scale production applications.
Deep experience in building and securing enterprise-grade applications, particularly in regulated environments, is required.
Expert-level backend development skills in languages such as Python and Node.js/TypeScript, along with experience in designing distributed systems, are essential.
Advanced experience with modern frontend frameworks like React with TypeScript and building complex web applications is necessary.
Mastery of API design and database modeling with relational databases, such as Postgres, at scale is required.
A strong track record of technical leadership, including mentoring engineers and driving architectural decisions, is expected.
Experience in operating and optimizing mission-critical applications in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is necessary.
