Remote Principal Mobile Software Engineer

Description:

• We are seeking a Principal Mobile Engineer to join our unification engineering team.
• In this role, you will play a key part in building and scaling Transcarent’s next-generation health experience on iOS.
• You will collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and product leaders to deliver secure, intuitive, and high-performing mobile applications that transform how people engage with healthcare.
• Responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining advanced applications for the iOS platform using Swift and SwiftUI.
• You will work closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver seamless, responsive, and visually engaging user experiences.
• You will ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications through best practices and modern architectures (e.g., MVVM, Combine).
• You will integrate with backend APIs and healthcare data systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance and data privacy standards.
• You will mentor and support other developers through code reviews, technical discussions, and documentation.
• You will continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency and product impact.
• You will contribute to improving our CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and app release processes.

Requirements:

• You must have 10+ years of professional iOS and/or Android development experience.
• You should be an expert in any of the following: Swift, SwiftUI, modern iOS frameworks (UIKit, Combine, CoreData, etc.), Kotlin, or Flutter.
• You must have an expert understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and asynchronous programming.
• You should have an expert understanding of mobile architecture patterns, dependency injection, and test-driven development (TDD).
• You must have an expert understanding of tools such as Xcode, Fastlane, Firebase, and Git.
• You should have expertise in building accessible, secure, and high-performance mobile apps at scale.
• You must possess excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
• You should have a strong passion for improving healthcare through technology.

Benefits:

• The salary range for this remote position is $175,000 - $195,000 USD.
