Kota is making insurance and retirement benefits accessible through the Kota Platform and Kota Embed.

As a Product Engineer (Backend) on the Kota Embed team, you will design and build APIs and SDKs for embedded insurance and retirement benefits.
You will work on meaningful product challenges, learn from senior engineers, and contribute to resilient, developer-friendly systems.
The role is ideal for strong backend engineers looking to grow into senior roles by taking on more ownership and collaborating cross-functionally.

Requirements:

You should have 3–5+ years of experience building backend systems, ideally with .NET (latest 8+), SQL databases, ORM frameworks, and automated testing.
Cloud experience with Azure or AWS is preferred.
You must care about writing clean, maintainable code and continuously improving your skills.
You should thrive in collaborative environments and want to work closely with product and design teams.
You need to be motivated by the opportunity to grow into a senior engineer through mentorship and ownership.
Availability for at least 5 hours overlap with GMT working hours is required.
