LabV is a Munich-based software company specializing in AI-powered data management solutions for materials research, quality control, and process optimization.
The company was founded in 2022 and offers a cloud-based platform designed to enhance efficiency and product quality across various sectors.
The Software Engineer will support the further development of the AI team and the underlying LabV platform.
The role requires a strong software engineering background and initial experience with LLMs, or a clear motivation to grow in this area.
Responsibilities include understanding and analyzing laboratory use cases, developing and maintaining microservices and APIs, integrating LLM tools, ensuring scalable backend services, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with the AI team.

Requirements:

Candidates must have strong experience in Python and modern software engineering practices.
Experience with microservices, API design, and backend integration is required.
Knowledge of cloud deployment, CI/CD, testing, IaC, observability, and scalability concepts is necessary.
Initial exposure to LLMs, AI models, or prompt-based interfaces is preferred, or a strong motivation to learn in this area.
Experience with modern development tooling and best practices is essential.
Candidates should be willing to develop skills in LLM tooling, embeddings, RAG, and conversational AI over time.
