Description:

Writesonic is seeking a QA Engineer who excels at identifying bugs that others may overlook.
The role involves 80% manual testing and 20% automation, focusing on both the web platform and the Chrome extension.
Responsibilities include testing new features, spotting design inconsistencies, and documenting issues in a clear manner for developers.
Daily tasks involve testing across multiple browsers and devices, comparing designs in Figma to actual implementations, and collaborating with developers on Slack.
The QA Engineer will own manual testing, detailed bug reporting, design QA, cross-browser testing, exploratory testing, and regression testing for critical user paths.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 2-4 years of QA experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
An obsessive attention to detail is required, with the ability to notice minor discrepancies in design.
Experience in design QA and the ability to compare implementations to mockups is essential.
Applicants should be able to write clear and reproducible bug reports with appropriate severity levels.
Comfort with testing across web, mobile web, and browser extensions is necessary.
Familiarity with bug tracking tools such as JIRA or Linear is required.
Strong written communication and documentation skills are a must.
