Description:

Optery is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to work on product and technical direction, focusing on Python and Django.
The role involves backend development with some light frontend work, owning features from start to finish.

Requirements:

6+ years of experience in building production web applications.
3+ years of experience with Python and Django.
Knowledge of CS fundamentals: data structures, concurrency, SQL, system design.
Strong written communication skills and ability to work asynchronously across time zones.
Self-direction and follow-through are essential.
Strong plus: experience with DRF, Celery, RabbitMQ, Redis, Postgres, Kubernetes, AWS, third-party API integrations, and familiarity with consumer privacy.

Fully remote work environment.
