Remote Senior Data Engineer

Description:

• The Senior Data Engineer at Neon will design, build, and maintain scalable, efficient, and stable data pipelines.
• The role involves developing and optimizing service and data architectures, ensuring quality and governance.
• Collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Business teams at Neon is essential to understand needs and translate them into opportunities for improvements in the Data Platform.
• The engineer will ensure the scalability, stability, and observability of the data platform.
• Participation in discussions and decisions regarding platform functionalities, data architecture, and best practices is required.
• The engineer will respond to incidents to ensure the platform returns to normal operation as quickly as possible, including conducting post-mortem analyses and root cause mitigation.

Requirements:

• The candidate must have experience in designing, building, and maintaining scalable, efficient, and stable data pipelines.
• They should be skilled in developing and optimizing service and data architectures while ensuring quality and governance.
• Collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Business teams to understand needs and identify improvement opportunities in the Data Platform is necessary.
• The candidate must ensure the scalability, stability, and observability of the data platform.
• Participation in discussions and decisions about platform functionalities, data architecture, and best practices is required.
• The candidate should be able to act during incidents to restore normal operations quickly and conduct post-mortem analyses and root cause mitigation.
