Description:

  • Seeking an experienced database engineer to evolve SurveyMonkey's data stores towards a cloud-native, globally distributed architecture.
  • Responsibilities include designing and implementing scalable data store solutions, managing SQL Server and MySQL databases, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years managing high-performing databases in production environments.
  • 5+ years of strong SQL query skills and 3+ years with PostgreSQL databases.
  • Expertise in SQL Server and MySQL, including clustering and performance tuning.
  • Experience with Terraform, cloud-based database solutions, and vector databases.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field; AWS certification is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, ETL development, and scripting languages.

Benefits:

  • Base pay ranges from CAD $95,200.00 to $137,000.00 per year, depending on market and experience.
