Remote Senior DevOps Engineer

Description:

• Mirantis is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of customer infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
• The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure robust system performance, scalability, and security.
• Responsibilities include designing and deploying customer infrastructure on various cloud providers and bare metal environments.
• The engineer will design and manage Kubernetes clusters for applications with microservices architecture.
• The position requires developing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines for seamless software delivery.
• The engineer will design, monitor, and operate development, staging, and production environments.
• Facilitating knowledge transfer to customers during deployment projects is a key responsibility.
• The role involves working with geographically distributed international teams on technical challenges and process improvements.
• Mentoring junior team members and contributing to the Mirantis deployment knowledge base are also part of the job.
• Continuous improvement of tooling and technologies is expected.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in DevOps engineering is required.
• Solid IT automation experience is necessary.
• Candidates must have a solid knowledge of Linux OS, storage, and networking.
• A background in microservices architecture and distributed systems is essential.
• Solid knowledge in Kubernetes and related tools is required.
• Practical experience in application containerization using Docker and Helm is necessary.
• Candidates should have solid practical experience in at least one programming language such as Bash, Groovy, Python, or Go.
• Excellent English language skills, both written and oral, are required.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills are essential.
• Candidates must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel as needed for business requirements and onsite project delivery is required.
• Experience in AI/ML models lifecycle, including development, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance, is a plus.
• Proficiency in Openstack and related software is also a plus.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
• At least 5 years of DevOps experience or in a similar role is necessary.
