HTS Assist is Hopper's AI assistant for travel, handling flight changes, cancellations, refunds, and bookings via chat and voice.
Seeking a senior full stack engineer to manage the realtime and voice layer, working with React/TypeScript, Scala, Python, and cloud infrastructure.

Requirements:

6+ years of software engineering experience with senior-level ownership of production systems.
Hands-on experience with realtime systems, voice applications, WebRTC/SIP, and low-latency products.
Proficiency in modern front end (React, TypeScript) and backend (Scala or Python), with cloud infrastructure experience on GCP or AWS.
Experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs, microservices, or event-driven systems.
Familiarity with AI coding tools and an operable-systems mindset.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively across teams.
Bonus: Experience with conversational AI, cloud telephony platforms, and customer service tools.
