The Senior Product Engineer (Backend) will be a key player in developing APIs and SDKs for embedded insurance and retirement benefits globally.
This role involves not just coding, but also designing resilient systems and creating developer-first experiences.
The engineer will collaborate with designers, engineers, and benefit experts to transform ideas into reliable and scalable products.
Responsibilities include driving innovation, collaborating for impact, managing incidents, and architecting future enhancements.
Daily tasks may involve building new features for customer-facing APIs, improving internal workflows, and leading technical efforts for incident response.

Requirements:

Candidates should have 8+ years of experience in building backend systems.
Expertise in .NET (latest version 8+), SQL databases, ORM frameworks, and automated test frameworks is required.
Cloud experience with Azure or AWS is necessary.
Experience in building API products in fintech, payroll, or benefits is a plus.
The candidate should thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy solving complex challenges.
Proven experience collaborating with product teams and designers, delivering value to customers or users is essential.
Availability for at least 5 hours of overlap with GMT working hours is required.
