The Senior QA Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, executing, and automating test scenarios to ensure software quality and defect management in alignment with agile development practices.
This role collaborates closely with business, development, and operations teams to deliver reliable, high-quality digital solutions.
The Digital Hub DCI is a central development and operations organization delivering enterprise-scale digital solutions, working in cross-functional, agile setups.
Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and executing automated and manual test cases for hub applications.
The engineer will develop and maintain test automation using Java and Playwright.
Identifying, analyzing, and reporting defects while ensuring accurate documentation and follow-up is essential.
Collaboration with cross-functional agile teams is necessary to ensure solutions meet business and technical requirements.
The role supports software lifecycle management, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Contributions to improving testing processes, increasing automation coverage, and maintaining test documentation are expected.
The engineer will work with tools such as Jira, SQL, and XML to support defect management, reporting, and test execution.
Assisting in knowledge transfer and training related to testing best practices within the team is also part of the job.
Requirements:
Candidates must have hands-on experience in test design, execution, and automation at an advanced level.
Experience in Java-based test automation, specifically with tools like Playwright, is required.
A solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) is necessary.
Experience working in agile frameworks, ideally SAFe® or Kanban, is preferred.
The ability to analyze, identify, and report defects clearly and efficiently is essential.
Practical experience using Jira Software, SQL, and XML is required.
Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills are necessary.
Effective communication with technical teams, business stakeholders, and operations teams is required.
Proficiency in German and English at a professional working level is mandatory.
Candidates should be able to work well in cross-functional, collaborative, and agile environments.

The final salary is negotiable, with a base salary starting at no less than 2600€ /brutto, depending on seniority level and previous experience.
Remote working is only available within Slovakia due to European taxation regulations.
