Description:

Develop and maintain the QAD Redzone API Backend (Scala) for manufacturing front-line teams.
Enhance internal tooling capabilities by developing the MCP server to support AI integrations.
Improve OpenSearch usage within the backend application.
Deliver work committed during sprints to achieve business goals.
Provide subject matter expertise during incidents to resolve customer issues.
Participate in forums to contribute ideas for system improvement.
Write testable and maintainable code.

Requirements:

5+ years of professional experience as a Backend Engineer.
Proficient in Scala (5+ years) and Java.
Experience with API-first design, Open Api Spec (OAS), and generating Tapir endpoints.
Knowledge of async programming with Cats Effect and Kafka message handling.
Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Slick or Doobie, and database migration patterns.
Comfortable with CI/CD using GitHub Actions, AWS Cloud, Kubernetes (EKS), and Docker.
