Quadrivia is a health technology company that has developed Qu, an AI assistant designed for clinicians to provide real-time support for clinical tasks.
The Senior Software Engineer - Backend will design and build backend systems for the Quadrivia clinical AI platform, focusing on high-availability services, event-driven architectures, data pipelines, and orchestration layers.
This role is hands-on and critical for ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of the platform.
Key responsibilities include implementing and maintaining backend services, building scalable systems, ensuring compliance with clinical data interactions, and collaborating with various teams.
The engineer will write clean, test-driven code and validate AI-generated code contributions.

Requirements:

Candidates must have healthcare-related experience working under SOC2/ISO27001, HIPAA/GDPR, or medical device regulatory requirements.
A minimum of 10 years in backend engineering with experience in high-scale distributed systems is required.
Expertise in Python, FastAPI, async systems, and event-driven architectures is essential.
Strong knowledge of object and relational databases, caching, message streams, and message queues is necessary.
Familiarity with engineering standards such as DDD, CQRS, Design Patterns, SOLID Principles, DRY, KISS, and TDD is required.
Candidates should have cloud and DevOps literacy, particularly with GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.
A deep understanding of resilient systems, fault tolerance, and high availability is crucial.
Excellent communication skills are required, with a preference for structured and concise communication methods.
