Remote Senior Software Engineer, Backoffice Platform

Description:

• Manage and enhance Ably's back office platform, overseeing customer accounts, packages, entitlements, and billing.
• Collaborate with Finance, Customer Success, Support, and Engineering teams to improve internal tooling and processes.
• Champion AI-assisted development and ensure systems are user-friendly and self-explanatory.

Requirements:

• Experience with large codebases and the ability to assess when to extend or replace systems, preferably with Ruby on Rails knowledge.
• Proven track record in shaping architecture and making data ownership decisions.
• Ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, and make informed decisions.
• Familiarity with making systems observable and testable, including setting test strategies.
