Description:

A PHP developer is responsible for writing server-side web application logic.
PHP developers usually develop back-end components, connect the application with other web services, and support front-end developers by integrating their work with the application.
They are often required to develop and integrate plugins for certain popular frameworks.
Responsibilities include analyzing business requirements, estimating assigned tasks, writing code and unit tests, and collaborating with other team members.
Developers must tune their code for enhanced security and performance, maintain systems by fixing existing issues, and update issue tracking software.
They are expected to provide status updates, communicate with clients, control versions of their code, and research new technologies.
The role involves leading a team of software engineers, mentoring team members through training and guidance, upgrading skills and knowledge, and evaluating candidates for open positions.

Requirements:

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent is required.
Candidates must have a minimum of four (4) years of related experience in a professional industry.
Strong knowledge of core PHP, MVC frameworks, and Yii is essential.
Candidates should have strong knowledge of WordPress.
Proficiency in JQuery, JavaScript, and AJAX is required.
Knowledge and experience in writing backend components and Restful APIs are necessary.
An understanding of security standards and compliances is important.
Experience with different relational and schemaless databases such as MySQL is required.
Candidates must be able to create a database structure for the required functionality.
Experience with writing unit tests and ensuring a minimum of 90% test coverage is necessary.
Knowledge of and experience with Github, JIRA, and other collaboration tools is required.
