Sezzle is seeking a talented and motivated Senior Software Engineer with a high IQ and EQ to join their dynamic team in Poland.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work with a highly-motivated team to tackle interesting and challenging problems across multiple areas of the organization.
You will design, develop, and deliver new features while mentoring and unblocking your teammates.
This backend-focused role involves close collaboration with stakeholders from Product, Support, and other engineering teams to provide high-quality, scalable solutions.

The interview process includes a cognitive test, coding assessment, and multiple interviews with recruiters and engineering leadership.
Requirements:
Candidates must have at least 7 years of full-stack software engineering experience.
Experience in building and serving REST APIs using Go, Java, Python, or a similar language is required.
Familiarity with distributed, cloud-based architecture and design patterns like transactional outboxes or queuing tools such as RabbitMQ, SQS, or Kafka is necessary.
A BS in Computer Science or a similar degree is required.
Preferred knowledge includes experience with SQL-based RDMS through an ORM tool, observability platforms, DevOps experience with CI/CD pipelines, and familiarity with containerized micro-service architecture deployed with Kubernetes on AWS.
A demonstrated history of delivering commercial APIs and web applications is preferred.
