Remote Senior SRE Engineer

Description:

• Architect, design, and implement strategies for high availability, reliability, and fault tolerance of infrastructure and applications.
• Lead incident response efforts, identify root causes, and implement preventative measures.
• Optimize system and application performance by identifying bottlenecks and conducting performance analysis.
• Drive automation initiatives and develop tools, scripts, and frameworks for deployment and monitoring.
• Generate reports on system reliability, uptime, and performance metrics for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with teams to define KPIs and develop reporting frameworks for system health.
• Prepare executive-level reports summarizing incidents and recommendations for improvements.
• Present findings and actionable insights to management and stakeholders.

Requirements:

• B.S. in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets based on business rules.
• IT project management experience.
• Proficient in coding with Python, Java, Shell, Bash, or similar languages.
• Experience supporting critical services in production (AWS and on-premises).
• Knowledge of network technologies and monitoring tools for system, security, and network.
• Detailed knowledge of databases and Linux OS standards and best practices.
• Proactive in identifying problems and improving processes through coding.
• Advanced English proficiency.
