Description:

Design and implement microservices and APIs for production traffic with uptime and latency targets.
Identify and fix performance bottlenecks, quantifying optimization impacts.
Ship features end-to-end, including tests, code review, and incident response.
Propose architecture solutions for scalability challenges.
Build logging, monitoring, and alerting systems to preemptively address issues.
Mentor junior engineers through code review and pairing.

Requirements:

Proficiency in at least one backend language (Python, Node.js) with production experience.
4+ years of software development experience.
Comfortable writing code using AI.
Experience with microservices or distributed systems and REST APIs.
Strong SQL skills with ability to optimize database queries and schema design.
Track record of owning features from design to production deployment.
Ability to debug production issues under pressure.
Knowledge of ORMs like Prisma and relational databases like PostgreSQL.
Familiarity with background job queues and scheduled task management.
Experience with Redis or similar caching systems.
Good product sense with experience in end-to-end projects or products.
