Description:

Seeking an AI-First Software Engineer to join the FormAssembly team.
Collaborate with Node.js engineers to design, develop, and ship product features with a focus on AI integration.
Develop backend services and data pipelines on PostgreSQL, ensuring data governance and security.
Work closely with DevOps for efficient deployment on AWS services.

Requirements:

U.S. Citizenship required; ideally located in Eastern timezone.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
4–5+ years of software engineering experience, particularly with AWS.
Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and strong experience with Node.js.
Strong experience with PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization.
Demonstrated use of AI-assisted engineering tools like Claude Code.
Knowledge of software development methodologies, version control (Git), CI/CD, and cloud platforms.
Clear communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
Proven experience in Agile environments.
