Remote Software Engineer - Forward Deployed

Description:

• SmartCommerce is seeking a Software Engineer, Forward Deployed to build AI agents that automate operational workflows using the Claude SDK.
• The role involves integrating with internal systems like Jira and Slack, and third-party APIs, suitable for early-career engineers eager to learn and work with modern AI development tools.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 2+ years of professional software engineering experience, or a Master's degree in Computer Science.
• Demonstrated experience with AI, building software, and proficiency with AI coding tools (Claude, Cursor, Codex, Gemini, etc.).
• Experience integrating with APIs (e.g., Jira, Slack) and solid programming fundamentals.
• Nice to have: Experience with LangGraph or Google ADK.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and able to pass a background check.
