Description:
- Join the State team at Zapier as a Database Reliability Engineer (DBRE) to manage and improve data infrastructure.
- Shape practices around automation, observability, performance, reliability, and disaster recovery for relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and caching layers (Redis, ElastiCache).
Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years in systems administration, engineering, or software development, with 4 years in production relational databases.
- Expertise in MySQL or PostgreSQL, knowledge of caching systems, and experience with cloud-based database systems (AWS).
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform), observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus), and a collaborative approach with product teams.
