Remote Staff Embedded Software Engineer

Description:

• Develop and maintain embedded software for Stack's autonomous vehicle system, ensuring reliable operation of sensors, actuators, and compute platforms.
• Lead the design, development, and validation of software for safety-critical embedded platforms, ensuring deterministic and safe behavior.

Requirements:

• Expert in C++ for embedded systems development in safety-critical environments.
• Strong understanding of RTOS concepts and programming (e.g., FreeRTOS, SafeRTOS).
• Experience with safety-critical standards (ISO 26262, DO-178C, IEC 61508, IEC 62304).
• Proven technical leadership in a small team and experience with hardware abstraction layer (HAL) and BSP development.
• Knowledge of multithreaded and real-time software design, and CAN/ethernet communication protocols in automotive contexts.
• Experience taking at least one product through to production and maintaining it with paying customers.
