The company is seeking a Staff Frontend Web Application Engineer to join their fully distributed engineering team.
The role involves designing, building, and optimizing high-performance TypeScript and React single-page applications (SPAs) powered by RESTful APIs for complex sports-organization workflows.
Responsibilities include collaborating with Product and Design teams to extend the design system, advocating for modern front-end practices, mentoring team members, ensuring reliability through testing, and leading projects to improve coding practices and performance.
The engineer will also evaluate and adopt AI-driven tooling and explore emerging web technologies to keep TeamSnap at the forefront of innovation.
Requirements:
Candidates should have 8+ years of experience building production-scale web applications with React and advanced TypeScript.
A minimum of 2+ years in a Staff/Tech-Lead role is required, with experience in shaping frontend vision and mentoring senior engineers.
Proven experience in integrating REST services and managing complex UI state using Context API, Redux, Zustand, or similar tools is necessary.
Hands-on experience in architecting or evolving component libraries/design systems with a focus on responsive, mobile-first design is essential.
Candidates must demonstrate high-quality delivery through automated tests and configuring CI/CD workflows.
Strong interpersonal skills are required to mentor engineers and articulate technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
