Requirements:

• Candidates should have a strong background in machine learning, geospatial data, and environmental science, with a passion for reducing wildfire risk.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in designing and building production-grade ML pipelines is preferred, but candidates with 6+ years of experience may also apply.
• Expertise in deep learning, computer vision, or remote sensing is required.
• Proficiency in designing end-to-end ML systems, including data ingestion, preprocessing, deployment, and monitoring is necessary.
• Hands-on experience with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, XGBoost, or LightGBM, and data tools like Dask, Spark, or GeoPandas is essential.
• Familiarity with GCP and Vertex AI or similar cloud-based ML platforms is required.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and scientific domains are necessary.
• Candidates should be comfortable leading architectural discussions and mentoring other engineers.
