Remote Staff Security Engineer

Description:

• Own security across the company, covering application security, cloud infrastructure, operational security, IT, compliance, and incident response.
• Improve Socket's security posture, assess and drive the security roadmap, run incident response, maintain compliance, and raise security awareness across the organization.

Requirements:

• Experience owning security at a growth-stage company or strong software engineering background with a focus on security.
• Proficiency in production TypeScript and ability to write code and build tooling.
• Broad knowledge across security domains (AppSec, CloudSec, OpSec) and familiarity with cloud infrastructure (GCP).
• Self-directed with strong communication and teaching skills to promote security awareness within the engineering team.
