Remote Back End Java Developer - Backbase (North America or LATAM only)

• Aequilibrium is seeking a Back End Java Developer with expertise in integrating and extending the Backbase digital banking platform.
• This is a remote, full-time position focused on client delivery and requires an experienced professional.
• The role is open only to candidates located in North America (Canada preferred) or LATAM.

• Responsibilities include transforming business requirements into technical architecture, collaborating with Designers, Product Managers, and development teams, and delivering compelling products and services.
• The candidate should be proactive, engaged, and comfortable interacting with clients to solve their business challenges.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have experience integrating and extending the Backbase digital banking platform.
• A minimum of 5 years of production-level experience with Java is required.
• Knowledge of Spring and its extensions, including Web MVC, Spring Boot, and Spring Security, is essential.
• Familiarity with SOAP and RESTful Web Services, as well as tools like XML, JSON, and RAML, is necessary.
• Candidates should have knowledge of microservices architecture and experience performing Unit Testing using JUnit.
• Experience with application servers such as Tomcat, WebSphere, Weblogic, or JBoss is required.
• A strong grasp of Git, Subversion, and other source control technologies is needed.
• Familiarity with Enterprise Integration Patterns and frameworks like Apache Camel is preferred.
• Experience developing large-scale distributed systems and working on a SaaS platform or with Service-Oriented Architectures is necessary.
• Candidates should have experience with cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of security and systems that handle sensitive data, as well as good SQL knowledge, is required.
• A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field is mandatory.
• Experience in the financial services industry or professional services is preferred.
