Description:

  • Saltwater Games, a creative alliance of studios, is seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to join their team remotely in the United Kingdom.
  • The engineer will have the opportunity to work on various aspects of game development, including feature work, tool and pipeline improvements, optimization, and integration of 3rd party systems.
  • The role offers involvement in the full project lifecycle and collaboration with different disciplines across the project.

Requirements:

  • Deliver cloud infrastructure for web3 gaming with web2 UX at scale.
  • Must be excited about cutting-edge tech in gaming, web3, and AI.
  • Build, maintain, and monitor backends including APIs, databases, and analytics tooling.
  • Handle data from gameplay, users, and analytics with millions of Monthly Active Users (MAUs) and daily I/O.
  • Must have 5+ years of experience with Javascript and Node.
  • Must have 3+ years of experience with AWS services like API Gateway, CloudWatch, DynamoDB, EC2, KMS, Lambda, and S3.
  • Should have 2+ years of experience with backends supporting 100k-10m MAU, experience with OAuth, and some familiarity with web3.
  • Nice to have experience includes working with non-web clients, web3, ethers.js SDK, Etherscan, Typescript, Firestore, and Functions in GCP.
