Remote Principal Security Engineer, Security

Description:

• Circle is seeking a Principal Security Engineer with expertise in Product and Blockchain Security to drive and implement technical strategies, innovative tooling, research, and processes.
• The role involves collaborating with the Security Engineering team and partnering closely with Engineering, Infrastructure, and IT teams to support cloud operations, software development, and device fleet.
• Responsibilities include ensuring applications are securely designed and implemented throughout the SDLC, testing web3 and web2 applications for vulnerabilities, recommending code changes, automating security tests in the CI/CD pipeline, developing secure coding standards, researching blockchain vulnerabilities, investigating security alerts and incidents, managing vendors for security projects, and supporting various security team initiatives.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in a cybersecurity role and 4+ years as a security engineer leading projects and developing cybersecurity resolutions.
• Enthusiasm for securing and breaking software, familiarity with common attack techniques, and experience conducting penetration tests.
• Proficiency in designing software security features, automating security tests in CI/CD pipelines, and working with AWS and GCP.
• Experience with blockchain technologies like Ethereum, Bitcoin, and Solana, public and private key cryptography, and techniques for making software robust against attacks.
• Self-motivated problem-solver, ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, cybersecurity, or related field; certifications like CISSP, CEH are a plus.
• Desired experience with Solidity, Rust, Go, Move, JSON, Python, financial services, and remote work.
• Willingness to travel for work when required.

Benefits:

• Base Pay Range: $200,000 - $257,500 with an annual bonus target of 17.5%.
• Additional benefits include equity, medical, dental, vision, 401(k), discretionary vacation policy, 10 days of paid sick leave per year, and 11 paid holidays per year in the U.S.
