Description:

Pelago is seeking a Remote Senior Mobile Engineer to join their team and help redefine the way travelers explore the world.
The role involves taking end-to-end ownership of workstreams to deliver real value to users and solving user problems related to travel planning and booking.
The position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse and multi-skilled development team, writing code and designing innovative architectures.
Candidates will champion software qualities such as testability, security, scalability, and operability while working with state-of-the-art technologies.
The role includes building strong relationships with product managers, designers, and business teams in a collaborative environment.
Engineers will demonstrate a passion for implementing highly scalable and maintainable backend services and share technical solutions through design reviews and code discussions.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 4+ years of experience in building production-grade, performant frontend applications using modern JavaScript frameworks like React/React-Native, adhering to the latest ECMAScript standards (ES6/ES7) and/or TypeScript.
Experience with CSS preprocessors such as SASS, SCSS, or LESS is required.
Familiarity with Agile, Lean, and Continuous Delivery approaches, including Continuous Integration and Test-Driven Development (TDD), is necessary.
Candidates should have strong people skills that foster an open and collaborative environment and experience in communicating ideas to various team members.
Proactive collaboration with backend teams to build scalable APIs and design data structures is essential.
Experience or knowledge of working with GraphQL APIs, as well as experience in the travel industry or with B2C consumer platforms, is considered a plus.
Experience in deploying or shipping production apps to the App Store or Play Store is also advantageous.
