Aequilibrium is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with expertise in Java and .NET, specifically for integrating and extending the Backbase digital banking platform.
This position is remote and open only to candidates located in Canada or LATAM.
The role involves working collaboratively with a team to drive innovative change in financial services and VR.

Requirements:

A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 5+ years of production-level experience in both Java and .NET, with strong knowledge of .NET Core, ASP.NET, and Entity Framework.
Knowledge of Spring and its extensions, such as Web MVC, Spring Boot, and Spring Security, is necessary.
Experience with SOAP and RESTful Web Services, as well as tools like XML, JSON, and RAML, is required.
Familiarity with microservices architecture and experience performing Unit Testing using JUnit is essential.
Candidates should have knowledge of application servers like Tomcat, WebSphere, Weblogic, or JBoss.
A strong grasp of Git, Subversion, and other source control technologies is needed.
Familiarity with Enterprise Integration Patterns and frameworks like Apache Camel is preferred.
Experience in developing large-scale distributed systems and working on a SaaS platform or with Service-Oriented Architectures is required.
Knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, or Kubernetes is necessary.
Candidates should have experience with security and systems handling sensitive data, as well as good knowledge of SQL.
Experience in the financial services industry or professional services is a plus.
