Remote Senior Backend Developer - Java & .NET (Canada ONLY)

• Aequilibrium is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with experience in Java and .NET.

• The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as good teamwork skills and experience performing peer code reviews.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field is required.
• Candidates must have 5+ years of production-level experience in both Java and .NET, with strong knowledge of .NET Core, ASP.NET, and Entity Framework.
• Knowledge of Spring and its extensions, such as Web MVC, Spring Boot, and Spring Security, is necessary.
• Experience with SOAP and RESTful Web Services, as well as tools like XML, JSON, and RAML, is required.
• Candidates should have knowledge of microservices architecture and experience performing Unit Testing using JUnit.
• Familiarity with application servers like Tomcat, WebSphere, Weblogic, or JBoss is essential.
• A strong grasp of Git, Subversion, and other source control technologies is needed.
• Candidates should be familiar with Enterprise Integration Patterns and frameworks like Apache Camel.
• Experience developing large-scale distributed systems and working on a SaaS platform or with Service-Oriented Architectures is required.
• Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, or Kubernetes is necessary.
• Candidates must have experience with security and systems that handle sensitive data, as well as good knowledge of SQL.
• Experience in the financial services industry or professional services is a plus.
