The Senior Go Developer will design and build solutions for Tyk's Dashboard and API Gateway products.
Responsibilities include leading solution design for complex problems, designing distributed systems with a focus on security, contributing to API Gateway architecture, and building API Gateway capabilities.
The role emphasizes engineering excellence, including writing high-quality code, troubleshooting complex bugs, and championing continuous improvement in engineering practices.
Mentorship of junior engineers, leading code reviews, and advocating for documentation-first development are also key aspects of the role.
The position requires adherence to Scrum processes and a culture of automated testing.

Requirements:

Candidates must have strong backend engineering experience in Go.
A deep understanding of distributed systems design is essential.
Familiarity with Redis and MongoDB is required.
Experience with software engineering best practices, including unit testing, code reviews, and design documentation, is necessary.
Proficiency in applying SOLID principles and Test-Driven Development methodologies is expected.
Experience with cloud products, Kubernetes, or other orchestration tools is preferred.
Candidates should have API management experience and open-source contributions.
Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail are required.
Strong communication skills and a passion for continuous improvement in the software delivery lifecycle are essential.
A deep understanding of DevOps best practices and a security-first software development mindset are necessary.
Comfort with AI technologies and automation is a plus.
