Description:
Spring Health is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to operationalize the Provider Payment functionality.
The Software Engineer will collaborate with billing specialists to ensure accurate and timely payments to all providers.
Responsibilities include shadowing current engineers, developing full stack features, documenting tools for non-engineering payment processes, and integrating new backend functionality for paying providers in a group practice.
Success in this role is defined by achieving 100% payment success to providers, reducing manual engineering requests, enabling billing specialists to edit invoices, maintaining code quality, and enforcing thoughtful code reviews.
The ideal candidate will have experience in backend development, familiarity with financial or healthcare compliance, remote work experience, knowledge of agile methodologies, TDD approach, pair programming strategies, and familiarity with backend system architecture and database basics.
Requirements:
Experience with backend development in various roles/industries and familiarity with financial or healthcare compliance.
Ability and previous experience working in a remote-first engineering setting.
Knowledge of agile methodologies such as scrum and kanban, with a bonus for BDD and XP.
TDD approach and pair programming strategies are advantageous.
Familiarity with backend system architecture in the web stack and knowledge of database basics.
