Remote Senior Software Engineer (Data Reliability)

Description:

• Help build and manage software that solves engineering problems at scale, collaborating with other team members to deliver software to customers efficiently.
• Undertake software application development on existing products and contribute to new or improved experiences for customers.
• Maintain engineering excellence standards at Xero and support team members in product development.
• Demonstrate leadership on best practices, mentor team members, and contribute to a cross-functional environment.
• Seek clarity with technical complexities, automate processes, and make data-driven decisions to solve customer problems effectively.

Requirements:

• High level of experience in various languages and tools.
• Ability to contribute to internal ecosystems, build SDKs, and debug across the Xero technology stack.
• Proficiency in architecture and implementation of distributed systems, refactoring monolithic systems into scalable components.
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tooling, advocating for TDD and automated tooling.
• Strong ability to review and improve team processes to enhance quality and feedback loops.
