Description:
Magic is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join their team responsible for creating high-quality, innovative, and performant experiences for users.
The role involves working on authentication services, collaborating with product, design, and engineering teams to define requirements, drive technical decisions, and implement identity management services.
The Senior Frontend Engineer will also focus on improving the architecture of all Magic systems, including SDK and UI/UX components, with a strong emphasis on security and quality.
Additionally, the role includes shaping the federated identity services architecture accessible through the SDK, enhancing existing features, and maintaining service quality.
The position can be either hybrid in the New York City office or remote within Canada, preferably Toronto.

Attention to detail and ability to bring static mock-ups to life.
Knowledge of security best practices for developing secure web applications.
Ability to write well-designed, testable, and efficient code while balancing feasibility with ambition.
Experience following the Agile Software Development Life Cycle.
Strong opinions, loosely held.
6-8 years of experience in an agile software development team.
Proficiency in ES6+ JavaScript (preferably TypeScript), CSS preprocessors like LESS or SCSS.
Familiarity with Next.js, React, React Hooks, Redux, and webpack or similar tooling.
Strong interpersonal skills demonstrating empathy and the ability to simplify technical concepts.
