Job Summary:

  • The Senior Software Engineer II will play a crucial role in transforming the home services industry by delivering innovative solutions.

  • The ideal candidate will lead the design, development, and implementation of high-quality software solutions, provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and solve complex technical issues.
  • Participation in agile development processes and maintaining technical documentation are key responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of professional software development experience in building backend applications.
  • Proficiency in JVM, preferably Scala, in a microservice architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL), and production Kubernetes.
  • Experience with development tools like Git, Docker, Jenkins, etc.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Kafka or similar event streaming platforms and message queues.
  • Proficiency in continuous delivery, integration practices, version control, test-driven development (TDD), and automated testing frameworks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to work within core US business hours/time zone expectations, specifically Eastern Standard Time (EST) overlap.
  • Fluency in English and Hindi.
